SyFy Explains Cancellation of Stargate Universe - To No Avail

The sudden culmination of Stargate Universe, with a series finale spurring out of nowhere, hasn’t been well-received by fans of the show, who are still in utter shock, after the series was pulled off by the SyFy network.
While some are blaming the channel for not promoting the show enough, others are disappointed at the slot allotted to the show, which they believe is to blame for the sinking ratings.
Desperate to calm down their viewers, executives at SyFy have released an open letter, directed to all their fans. This letter is an attempt to explain, to the viewers, why they were forced to put an end to the series.
The letter brushes off rumors about the show having been pulled off, to give way to wrestling, saying that the only reason behind the sudden decision was the low ratings, which made it impossible to sustain the show.
Yeah right!
The letter goes on to state that after MGM, SyFy was the only channel which cared to support the franchise, investing millions of dollars in its production. They claim that the shift in the time slot was made in an attempt to surge the ratings, by pairing the show with another show, ‘Being Human’, which was reportedly doing well.
But despite all the efforts, they just managed to average around 2 million viewers, which they believe was below their expectations.
It seems that millions no longer mean anything to the new-age networks, and for them to air a show, it should probably have billions watching it!
If only I could meet these honchos at SyFy and give them a piece of my mind!
I mean, that’s a pretty lame excuse for pulling off such an epic show, isn’t it?
Thank goodness that we can still download Stargate Universe to enjoy it whenever we want!
I think, I am gonna start a petition for this; would you care to join me?
